What Convention Center Transportation Is
Convention center transportation is private car and shuttle service for events at the Kansas City Convention Center and nearby hotels. Our dispatch team coordinates each ride through vetted local affiliate operators. We handle airport pickups for attendees, hotel-to-Bartle Hall transfers, and shuttle loops between venues and restaurants.
Who Uses This Service in Kansas City
Meeting planners, corporate exhibitors, and association attendees use this service during medical, dental, agricultural, and tech conventions. Hotels such as the Marriott Downtown, Loews Kansas City, Hotel Phillips, and the Crossroads Hotel generate steady pickup requests. Large pharmaceutical and healthcare meetings often move groups to and from Bartle Hall in the morning and evening. We also support after-event dinners in the Power & Light District and the Crossroads.
Local Routes and Pricing
Sedan transfers from downtown hotels to Bartle Hall start at $130 for short trips. Hotel-to-MCI sedan transfers follow our airport rate chart, with downtown and Plaza at $130 and Overland Park at $130. Shuttle loops for groups run a written flat rate to $125 per hour depending on vehicle size, with a three-hour minimum common for convention contracts. Sprinter vans and minibuses are available for larger groups.
When Demand Peaks
Spring and fall convention seasons are busiest, especially March through May and September through November. January and February also see medical association meetings. The Crossroads First Fridays and major sports events can tighten vehicle availability when conventions overlap. We ask meeting planners to book group moves at least 48 hours in advance.
One Honest Limitation
Large group movements need advance notice. We work with local affiliates, and securing multiple vehicles on short notice can be difficult during peak convention weeks. If your event requires simultaneous departures for several hundred attendees, we need a detailed manifest and schedule at least a week ahead.
